Early Game Access

Early Game Access will begin on December 13th, 2011, seven days prior to the official launch. Starting December 13, 2011, invitations will be sent throughout the Early Game Access period offering rolling access to the game in the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code, so be sure to check your email inbox tied to your Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ account!

Origin PC Download FAQs

Where do I get my download?

While it is not required to install the Origin client to play The Old Republic, if you purchased a digital or physical copy through Origin, you will be able to download the game through the Origin client. To do so, you will need to download the installation file from the Origin client. If you have an EA account but have not yet downloaded the Origin client, please go to www.origin.com/about.

How long will it take to download?

The average download time depends on your network connection. For example, a 4 gig download can take a few hours based on typical DSL speeds, while it can take 30 minutes on a T1 line.

When can I start playing?

Once the file is downloaded the product will unlock automatically when the unlock date has been reached.

Rise of the Rakghouls

The first Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Game Update will feature an expanded Operation and a new Flashpoint!

There are a number of additions to the game with Game Update 1.1. One of these is a vast expansion of the already-existing “Karagga’s Palace” Operation. This addition will more than triple the size of the Operation as a whole! Playing through the expanded Hutt Hospitality Operation will test you and your allies’ skills against Karagga’s private army of bounty hunters and battle Droids before culminating in a massive final battle! Making your way through Karagga’s palace will reward you with powerful new gear, and even more extravagant rewards for those who take on the Operations in hard mode!

In addition to the expanded Operation, we are introducing a brand new Flashpoint entitled ‘Kaon Under Siege’. This Flashpoint takes you and up to three of your allies to the planet of Kaon, which has been decimated by a mysterious outbreak of the Rakghoul virus. Fighting your way through hordes of the twisted monstrosities, you will have to locate a small band of survivors and learn the truth behind the outbreak. ‘Kaon Under Siege’ offers players the chance to experience a gripping new story while earning new gear! You can get a sneak peek of the brand new Flashpoint right now!
