Dead Space™ 2
Your mom hates Dead Space 2 almost as much as Isaac Clarke does — get it for the PlayStation 3. Finding himself in the massive space city of “The Sprawl,” Isaac starts the sequel with a familiar sight — the Necromorphs festively ripping the intestines out of some poor schmo. Scared out of his mind and running for his life — again — Isaac unwillingly embarks on another spine-tingling adventure that’s sure to fuel your nightmares. This time, the Necromorphs are more gruesome, the environment is bigger and more intimidating, and the chances of survival are even slimmer. We understand if you’ve peed your pants at this point.
The monsters aren’t the only thing you have to battle. As you once again step into Isaac’s shoes, you’ll have to deal with the inner torment of a broken man. Battling dementia and haunted by vivid memories of his dead girlfriend, Isaac’s sanity is long gone. As if that weren’t enough, he’s on the run from the government, so the few humans that remain in “The Sprawl” can’t always be trusted. If you thought the first game never gave you a chance to breathe, you might just want an oxygen tank at your side during Dead Space 2.
Once you’ve finished the main story, check out the new multiplayer mode and play as the very creatures that scared you pantless during the game. The PS3 version also includes Dead Space Extraction, a prequel to the original Dead Space that was previously exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. Players can now see how the Dead Space franchise began and discover the source of Isaac’s tormented soul.
